Privacy Policy
Usday · Last updated: October 18, 2026
Usday works offline and requires no account. Your dates, names, imported photos and app preferences are processed and stored on your device. The app does not send them to us and includes no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how the developer of Usday, identified in its App Store listing (“we”, “us” or “our”), handles information when you use the iPhone app, visit these pages or contact support.
2. Information on your device
Usday stores the information you choose to add: dates, names and labels, selected photos and cropping or ordering preferences, your main date, favorites, hidden or paused milestones, reminder choices and app preferences. It uses these locally to calculate durations, show milestones and create photo cards. No user account, developer-operated database or app-operated cloud sync is involved.
The app and its widget share local storage through Apple's App Group mechanism. This allows a widget to display the relevant counter, milestone and photo; it does not upload your information. Home Screen widgets and notification previews can reveal personal information to people who can see your device. Manage their visibility through your iPhone settings.
3. Photos, notifications and sharing
- Photos: you choose images through Apple's system photo picker. Usday imports only the images you select, stores resized copies locally and uses them for your dates, cards and widgets. Removing an imported photo from Usday does not remove its original from your photo library.
- Notifications: with your permission, Usday schedules local milestone reminders on your device. You can disable a reminder, pause a date or change notification permission in iOS Settings. Usday does not use a developer-operated remote push service.
- Sharing: a card is prepared locally. If you choose a destination in the system sharing interface, that destination may receive the card, photo, names, dates and text it contains. Its own terms and privacy practices apply. Review a card before sharing it.
The app does not require your contacts, location, microphone, camera or Apple Health data. It does not sell personal information or use advertising identifiers, tracking, third-party analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
4. Support correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to send, such as your message, device details or screenshots. We use it to respond, troubleshoot and follow up. Please avoid sending private relationship information, personal photos or other sensitive information unless necessary for your request.
Support correspondence is handled through Google Gmail. We retain it only as long as reasonably needed to address your request, related follow-up or applicable legal obligations. Where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to support requests and maintaining the app. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent us.
5. Apple services and backups
Apple operates the App Store, TestFlight, iOS notifications and device backup services under its own policies and your settings. Apple may provide aggregate app statistics or, depending on your choices, diagnostics and feedback. This is separate from Usday uploading your app content to us.
Although Usday has no app-operated cloud sync, local app information may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Backup retention and restoration are controlled separately by Apple and you. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. This website and external links
These support and legal pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. We add no analytics scripts, advertisements or tracking cookies. GitHub may process technical information, such as your IP address, when serving these pages. Opening a website or email destination is separate from the app's offline processing.
Read the GitHub Privacy Statement and Google's Privacy Policy for information about those providers.
7. Your choices and deletion
You can edit or remove dates and imported photos, disable reminders and pause milestones in Usday. Settings → Privacy → Delete all data resets the app's saved dates, names, imported photos, favorites, reminders and preferences on the device. Exported or shared copies and backups are separate and are not removed by this action.
Deleting the app normally removes its local data; offloading can retain it. We cannot recover your app content from a server because we do not receive it. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information you send to support, or object to its use. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
8. Changes
If our data practices change, we will update this page and its date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
