Frequently asked questions

How do I choose my main date?

Open Settings, select a date under Dates and turn on Main date. It becomes the focus of your counter, story card and widget. The original date can represent First met or Wedding. Other dates stay in your story.

How are days, months and years counted?

Your start date is Day 1: “777 days” means your 777th day. Weeks, months and years count full calendar intervals. A date such as January 31 moves to the last day of a month without a 31st; February 29 anniversaries fall on February 28 in other years. Hours and minutes are approximate because a time of day is not recorded.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your iPhone Home Screen, open the widget gallery using Edit or the add button, search for Usday and choose a size. In Usday Settings → Widget, choose Main date or Next milestone. The wording of Home Screen controls can vary by iOS version.

Why has my widget not updated yet?

Usday requests a refresh after saved changes and plans another update for the next hour. iOS decides when to run widgets, so updates may be delayed. Open Usday to refresh its data, then return to your Home Screen. If needed, remove and add only the widget; do not delete the app to troubleshoot, because you could lose your local data.

How do reminders work?

Open a milestone to enable its reminder. Choose the reminder time in Settings and allow notifications in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Usday. Reminders for the same day are combined. Focus modes, notification settings and iOS scheduling can affect delivery; Usday is not intended for critical alarms.

Can I pause a date without deleting it?

Yes. Turn on Pause milestones inside the date, or Pause all milestones in Settings. Its details and photos stay, while reminders and upcoming milestones are paused. You can turn it back on later.

How do I edit dates and photos?

Changes to an existing date's type, name, Main date flag, photos and pause are saved automatically. Changing the calendar day opens a separate Save / Cancel editor. New dates require Save. Tap a photo to crop it; drag to reorder, or touch and hold for options.

Does Usday need an account or internet?

No account is needed. Counters, photos, milestones and local reminders work offline. Opening these pages, contacting support, downloading updates or using an online sharing destination requires a connection.

Are my dates or photos uploaded?

Usday does not upload your dates or photos to us and has no app-operated cloud sync. Your app and its widget share local storage on your device. If you choose to share a card, the destination you select receives that content. Apple device backups are managed separately through your Apple settings.

Are there ads or subscriptions?

The current version contains no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. Any app download price is shown in the App Store before you download.

How do I delete my data?

Use Settings → Privacy → Delete all data and confirm. Copies you exported, shared or saved elsewhere, and device backups, are separate. We cannot restore your dates or photos from our servers because we do not have copies.
