Circuit Defense
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Circuit Defense stores game progress on your iPhone. No account is required. The app does not upload your progress to us and includes no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Mikhail Sterlikov, developer of Circuit Defense (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles information when you use the app, visit this website or contact support.
2. Information on your device
The app processes and stores run identifiers and level codes, run dates and results, favorites, lifetime game statistics, discovered synergies, unlocked core components, their rarity and equipment, fragments, active-run checkpoints, game settings such as sound and auto start, and rating-request eligibility. These records support gameplay, progression, replay and continuation.
This information stays in the app’s local storage and is not transmitted to our servers. Local recovery copies may be kept to recover damaged saves. App data may be included in Apple device backups according to your settings. There is no developer-operated cloud synchronization.
3. Permissions and tracking
While you steer the Spike Sphere, the app reads your iPhone’s motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to turn the tilt of the device into in-game movement. These readings are processed in memory only while the sphere rolls; they are not stored, not linked to you and never leave your device. iOS does not require a permission prompt for this.
The current app does not request camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, Apple Health or advertising-tracking access. It has no advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics and crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
4. Retention and deletion
Progress remains locally until removed by the app’s history management or until you delete the app. Unstarred history is limited to the most recent 100 runs; favorites and lifetime progression are retained separately. Deleting a history entry does not reset lifetime statistics or core progression.
Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading may retain it. Device backups are separate. We cannot access, restore or delete local progress remotely.
5. Support correspondence
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as device details, messages and screenshots. We use it to respond and troubleshoot. Do not include sensitive information unnecessary for support. The app does not automatically attach your saves or diagnostics.
Email is handled through Google Gmail. We retain correspondence only as reasonably necessary for support, follow-up or applicable legal obligations. Where applicable, our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to requests and maintaining the app. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
6. Apple services and this website
Apple operates the App Store, TestFlight, system ratings and device backups under its own policies. Depending on your settings, Apple may provide developers with statistics, diagnostics or feedback. We do not receive the rating you select in the system prompt.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It contains no analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies or external fonts added by us. GitHub may process technical information, including your IP address, when serving it. Opening links and sending email involves the services you choose.
Apple, GitHub and Google may process information outside your country under their policies. See Apple’s Privacy Policy, GitHub’s Privacy Statement and Google’s Privacy Policy.
7. Your choices and rights
You can manage run history and favorites in the app, delete the app’s local data by deleting the app, and manage backups and diagnostic sharing in iPhone settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information we hold, or object to processing. Email us to exercise these rights. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
8. Changes
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
